Whitelisting means the desk will only send crypto to wallet addresses your business has registered and verified in advance. It is one of the most effective controls against misdirected funds and address tampering.
Adding an address
An administrator adds a wallet in settings, providing the asset, network, and address. The address then goes through a verification step before it can receive a settlement, so a newly added wallet is not immediately usable.
- Confirm the asset and network match the address exactly
- Add the address under an administrator account
- Complete the verification step, which may include a test check
- Wait for the address to show an approved status before trading to it
Why it protects you
Because settlements can only go to approved destinations, malware that swaps an address at the moment of payment cannot redirect your funds. It also reduces the risk of a simple typo sending assets to an unrecoverable address.
Keep your whitelist current. Remove wallets you no longer use, and add new ones ahead of time so a pending verification never delays a settlement you need to complete quickly.
