Verification Timeline

What to expect during KYB review, how long each stage typically takes, and the most common reasons verification is delayed.

Most standard entities complete KYB within one to three business days once a full document pack has been submitted. Complex ownership structures can take longer, so it helps to understand the stages and what drives the timeline.

The stages

Verification moves through a predictable sequence. You can see your current stage in the dashboard, and your relationship manager will reach out if anything needs your attention.

  • Document intake, where we confirm the pack is complete
  • Entity verification against official registries
  • Individual identity checks for directors and beneficial owners
  • Screening and final risk review before approval

Common causes of delay

The most frequent hold-ups are documents that are expired, cropped, or illegible, and ownership charts that do not reconcile to the shareholder register. Missing a layer of an ownership structure is another common issue that requires a follow-up request.

Submitting a clear, complete pack the first time is the best way to keep your timeline short. If you are unsure whether a document qualifies, ask your relationship manager before you submit rather than after.
