Documents Required for KYB

The full list of documents GlacierPay needs to verify your business, your directors, and your beneficial owners during KYB review.

Know-your-business (KYB) verification confirms that your entity is legitimate, correctly registered, and that the people acting for it are who they say they are. Preparing the right documents up front is the single biggest factor in a fast approval.

Entity documents

These establish the legal existence and structure of your business. Certified or recent copies are preferred, and documents in a language other than English or French should be accompanied by a translation.

  • Certificate of incorporation or equivalent formation document
  • Articles of incorporation and current corporate bylaws
  • Proof of registered business address dated within the last three months
  • An ownership and control structure chart for the entity
  • A recent register of directors and shareholders

Individual documents

For each director, authorised trader, and beneficial owner, we verify identity and address. This typically means a government issued photo identity document plus a proof of residential address such as a utility bill or bank statement.

If your ownership structure includes intermediate holding companies or trusts, we may request documents one layer deeper so we can identify the ultimate natural persons. Your relationship manager will tell you exactly which layers apply.
