GlacierPay Adds Solana and BNB Chain Settlement

GlacierPay Adds Solana and BNB Chain Settlement

GlacierPay clients can now settle trades directly on Solana and BNB Chain. The two networks join our existing settlement rails, giving institutions more flexibility in how value moves in and out of the desk, and adding two of the most active high-throughput chains to the pairs we already support across BTC, ETH, USDT, and USDC.

What is now available

The addition covers both native assets and the major stablecoins on each network. Clients can send and receive on the following rails as part of standard settlement:

  • SOL on Solana, for clients settling in the network's native asset.
  • USDC and USDT on Solana, for fast, low-cost stablecoin movement.
  • BNB on BNB Chain, for native-asset settlement on the network.
  • USDT and USDC on BNB Chain, widely used for cross-border stablecoin flows.

As with every asset on the desk, these networks are available for both directions of trade. You can on-ramp fiat into a Solana or BNB Chain asset, or off-ramp those assets back into your bank account, at a firm quoted price.

Why these networks matter

Solana and BNB Chain are among the highest-throughput public networks in production. For an institution moving stablecoins, the practical difference is speed and cost. Confirmations are fast and network fees are a fraction of a cent in most conditions, which matters when you are settling frequently or in volume. That makes these rails particularly well suited to payment flows, treasury movements, and any workflow where the friction of the underlying network is a real operational cost.

For clients running mass payouts or high-frequency settlement, the economics compound. Lower per-transaction fees and faster finality mean more predictable operations and less capital tied up waiting for confirmations. Adding these networks is a direct response to how our clients actually move stablecoins today.

How settlement works on the new rails

The settlement experience is identical to our other networks. You request a quote, accept a firm price, and specify the network for delivery. For an off-ramp, crypto moves from your own GlacierPay vault to our transfer vault and on to our settlement partner, and the fiat proceeds land in your bank account. For an on-ramp, fiat is drawn and the purchased asset arrives on your GlacierPay vault on the network you selected. Average settlement across the desk runs around thirty minutes, and the new networks fit that same window.

Every trade continues to run through the same custody and compliance framework. Assets are custodied with Fireblocks, on-chain activity is screened with Chainalysis, and the same controls apply regardless of which network you settle on. Adding a chain does not add a separate risk process. It plugs into the one that is already in place.

Getting started

Existing clients can begin settling on Solana and BNB Chain immediately. When you request a quote, select the network and asset you want, and confirm the destination address. If you are new to GlacierPay, the same networks are available once your KYB onboarding is complete. As always, our desk is available to walk through the right rail for your specific settlement workflow, whether that is a one-time treasury conversion or a recurring payout program.
