Operations Associate (Back Office)
About the role
As an Operations Associate at GlacierPay you are the engine room of the desk, making sure every trade settles on time and every client is onboarded cleanly. You will reconcile fiat and crypto settlement legs, track transfers across banking partners and custody, and keep the KYB onboarding pipeline moving.
GlacierPay is a FINTRAC-registered Canadian MSB (MSB #C10001598) settling more than $200M each month for 350+ clients across 45+ countries. Accuracy in the back office is what lets our clients trust the desk with serious size, so your attention to detail directly protects the business.
This is a fully remote role for a highly organized operator who takes pride in clean books, tight processes, and problems caught before they reach a client.
What you will do
- Reconcile fiat and crypto settlement legs across banking partners, custody, and the ledger.
- Track and confirm inbound and outbound transfers so every trade settles accurately and on time.
- Move new clients through KYB onboarding, collecting documentation and coordinating with compliance.
- Investigate and resolve settlement breaks, delays, and discrepancies quickly and clearly.
- Maintain accurate records across trades, transfers, and client accounts for reporting and audit.
- Serve as an operational point of contact for clients on settlement and onboarding questions.
- Identify and improve manual processes as the desk scales its volume.
What we are looking for
- 2+ years in operations, settlements, or back office at a crypto, payments, fintech, or financial services firm.
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of accurate reconciliation and record keeping.
- Understanding of fiat payment rails and digital asset transfers across multiple networks.
- Ability to stay organized and calm while managing many transactions and deadlines at once.
- Clear communicator who can coordinate across trading, compliance, and clients.
- Comfort working independently in a fully remote, high-ownership environment.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with institutional custody such as Fireblocks and blockchain explorers.
- Experience with KYB onboarding tools or AML and compliance workflows.
- Exposure to ledger, reconciliation, or treasury tooling.
- Working knowledge of Canadian MSB or wider regulatory reporting.
